Fall is around the corner and it's time to begin thinking about the delicious taste and smells of fall. I love coming home after school or work to the wonderful smells of my mother's fall candles. If you are not in the fall mood yet, I recommend buying a few Yankee Candles in flavors such as Autumn Wreath, Luscious Pumpkin Trifle, Sugared Cinnamon Apple, and Honey Crisp Apple Cider.

As for the wonderful tastes of fall, I have a few of my favorite fall recipes that I would love to share! Here are two of my absolute favorite fall side dishes #ENJOY

Pigskins in a blanket #Football #FootballAddition

Every year my family holds a huge Super Bowl party at my house and this is one of my favorite dishes! As fall begins blowing around the corner that means Football Season is finally here! My mom makes pigs in blanket just about every time there is a big football game on. These are the best Pigs in blankets around! Pigs in a blanket is basically an essential at any football gathering. This dish is even visually appealing as it allows you to go along with the football theme. Not to mention, it’s an easy, simple, dish!

PREP TIME: COOK TIME: TOTAL TIME:

10 MINS 15 MINS 25 MINS

INGREDIENTS

2 tubes (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls

24 mini hot dogs

Egg wash

1 tsp. Black pepper

1 tsp. Coarse salt

yellow mustard

Ketchup, for serving

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375º. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice crescent rolls lengthwise into thirds. Place a mini hot dog on the thick end of each triangle and roll up.

Arrange the pigs in a football shape, side by side, on the baking sheet. They should be touching! Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the crescents are golden.

Draw lines with yellow mustard to mimic the laces of a football. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with ketchup for dipping.
